DISCOVERYx 2021
June 23 and 30, 2021 12:00-1:00pm | Livestream Event

DISCOVERYx is an annual TEDx-inspired event.  The event will showcase presenters sharing an idea, an opportunity, an experience or a discovery, and how this idea has contributed to improving health and wellness at Nationwide Children's Hospital.  Through communication, speakers will share thought-provoking ideas to spark conversation, make connections and inspire others.  Enthusiasts from all areas and disciplines at Nationwide Children's Hospital are encouraged to apply.  The selected speakers will receive professional coaching in preparation for the semi-live event.  The planning committee will select speakers based on their passion and potential to deliver innovative ideas to our community.  We hope you will join us for this year's event as we explore and celebrate the story behind discoveries that make a difference to improve pediatric health.

DISCOVERYx 2021 TRAINING

Selected speakers must be available to schedule and attend a virtual orientation and four individual virtual speaker training sessions between April and June, as well as be present for an in-studio taping at OSU studios.  Speaker training sessions will help to shape the idea into a presentation to fit the TEDx-like model, including guidance for visual presentation, conciseness, and engagement.

Applicants who cannot fit the required training sessions into their schedule should not apply.
